The Time is Out of Joint with David Thompson
29 April 2009
Are you interested in understanding the implications for enterprise of the current economic discontinuities – and are up for a good networking event? Please join us at a free talk on 29 April in central London by Throughline associate David Thompson on leadership in the midst of turmoil.
David is one of the most dynamic presenters I know. The founder of Total Awareness Coaching, he has been a consultant to business leaders in the US, UK and Europe for more than 15 years. In this, he builds on his extensive experience in the theatre as an actor, director and producer. David’s deep knowledge of Shakespeare’s plays is sure to illuminate trends in today’s business climate in fresh and unexpected ways. In “The Time is Out of Joint” David will explore the patterns of thought, word and action that define outstanding leadership in the midst of turmoil.
Back in February, over 100 of us gathered for the first event in this series, a presentation by Belden Menkus (Brown ‘78, MIT ‘84) called “The Age of Discontinuity: The New Leadership Agenda.” Belden will introduce “The Time is Out of Joint” and share some more thoughts on the Age of Discontinuity. Continuing and extending that conversation, David will ask: how can leaders shape a future of possibility when faced by chaos and confusion?
